WEST CHESTER, P.A. - Felician Women's Volleyball is competing in the West Chester (P.A.) University Ram Fest where they went up against their first opponent of West Virginia Wesleyan College late Friday afternoon and dropped 3-1. 

The Golden Falcons hung tight in the first two sets only dropping 25-22 and 25-23 respectively. Come the third set, the green-and-gold dominated the net by snagging the win 25-14 with 9 team kills for a .421 percentage. 

Karla Maldonado (Morovis, Puerto Rico) and Sara Betts (Goodyear, A.Z.) have been the forefront of the Golden Falcons offense so far this season as Maldonado captured nine kills and Betts eight. Freshman, Megan Barker (St. Catharine's, Ontario) continues to make her mark up front with recording 8 kills as well. 

Defensively, Miquela Martinez (Santa Fe, N.M.) posted her second straight 20 dig event while Barker had four blocks and Jelena Vucic (Smederevo, Serbia) had three. 

After this afternoon's results, the Volleyball is now 0-3 and is back in action tomorrow for a dual match with University of Pitt. - Johnstown and tournament hosts, West Chester (P.A.) starting at 2:00pm.
