Women's Volleyball Outlasts Caldwell in Five-Set Thriller

Rutherford NJ - The Felician Golden Falcons secured a hard-fought victory on the road against the Caldwell Cougars in a thrilling five-set match at Caldwell, NJ. Despite trailing after the first two sets, Felician rallied to claim a 3-2 win, with set scores of 23-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, and 15-13.

Breakdown - Felician showcased resilience and determination, fighting back from a two-set deficit to turn the match around in their favor. Strong performances on both offense and defense helped the Golden Falcons pull off the victory.

  • Megan Barker led Felician's offense with 15 kills and added 15 digs for a double-double performance. Barker's 19 points were key in the team's comeback, despite a lower-than-usual hitting percentage of .053.
  • Karla Maldonado contributed 11 kills and 10 digs, while Sara Betts added 6 kills with a .176 hitting percentage.
  • Alyssa Reeser stood out with 38 digs and 5 aces, providing crucial defensive stability and pressure from the service line.
