Women’s Volleyball Falls In Tough 3 Set Battle Against Goldey-Beacom

Rutherford NJ - Felician University Women's Volleyball headed south to go up against Goldey-Beacom. In what would turn out to be a tough battle throughout this entire contest, the Golden Falcons would fall 3-0 against Goldey Beacom this afternoon. Here's how the team performed during this contest.

Karla Maldonado was the offensive powerhouse for Felician, delivering 13 kills. Her aggressive play and consistent scoring kept Felician in close contention throughout the match. Maldonado also contributed an ace and secured 6 digs, adding defensive support to her impressive performance. Megan Barker played a pivotal role in the attack with 8 kills. She was effective in key moments and also contributed defensively with 10 digs, demonstrating her versatility and two-way impact on the court. Kiah Jackson provided reliable offense with 5 kills. Jackson also made her presence felt at the net with 1 solo block and 2 block assists, solidifying her role as a dual threat.

Alyssa Reeser was a defensive anchor for Felician, leading the team with 11 digs. Her ability to read plays and position herself effectively helped keep numerous rallies alive and staved off Goldey-Beacom's attacking pressure. Kayden Mallette contributed with 4 digs and provided solid defensive coverage, ensuring that Felician could extend plays and transition smoothly from defense to offense.

Sophia Watterson orchestrated the Felician attack with 26 assists, showcasing her strategic vision and precision in setting up plays. She also chipped in defensively with 4 digs and played a significant role at the net, contributing 2 solo blocks. Watterson's ability to spread the ball and create scoring opportunities was crucial in keeping Felician competitive in each set.

The Golden Falcons will be home this Thursday evening when they go up against Caldwell on November 7th at 7:00 PM.
