Rutherford NJ - Felician University Men's Soccer hosted against Dominican this evening. In a one sided contest, with seeding potential up for grabs for the Golden Falcons, the team kept pushing to put them in the best position possible securing the victory 5-0. Doing so, clinched the 3rd seed in the playoff. Here's how the team performed this evening.
First Half - The Golden Falcons would start off by pushing the ball offensively, which led to Tim Jaeger opening the scoring at 11:54 with a goal assisted by Hugo Rodriguez, setting the tone early for Felician. Defensively, Alvaro Martin Castedo, Kohta Yamanashi, Alex Ramos, and Andreas Mortensen helped keep Dominican from pushing anything offensively the entire first half with impressive stops all over the place. Dario Gomez doubled the lead at 35:40, assisted by Rodriguez and Alex Ramos. Just a few minutes later, at 38:15, Alex Ramos found the back of the net, extending the lead to 3-0 before halftime.
Second Half - Kicking things off right away in the second half, Massimo Girardi scored at 48:45, assisted by Jaeger, showcasing Felician's continued offensive pressure. Justin Cedeno added a fifth goal at 54:43. With substitutions coming in for the Golden Falcons, the team wouldn't allow Dominican to push offensively, however wouldn't score again as this contest would end with a Golden Falcons victory 5-0, ending the regular season on a high note.

The Men's Soccer team has officially secured the 3rd seed and is now preparing for the playoffs. They will host Bridgeport this Sunday, November 10th, at 1:00 PM.
