MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. - Felician baseball wrapped up their President's Day Weekend Round Robin Tournament against #6 Millersville University Sunday afternoon.Â
The Golden Falcons would drop to a 1-7 record after being handed the 1-15 loss by the Marauders.
Here's What Happened:
- Â Felician was shoved into a 0-4 hole after the first two innings of play. Ricky Voss (Eatontown, N.J.) would attempt to give Felician life on a single to send home Cole Porter (River Vale, N.J.), 1-4, but that would be the last time that the green-and-gold would touch home plate.Â
- The Golden Falcons would be able to the hold the Marauders to no runs through six innings, however, their opposers found their swing to put up six runs in the top of the sixth and five at the top of the ninth for the 1-15 loss.Â
- There were green-and-gold base runners throughout the innings. For example, Haiden Walters (Coral Springs, F.L.) took advantage of a Marauders error while tallying a single and players of Jose David Medrano (North Bergan, N.J.) Mattingly Goldstein (Babylon, N.Y.)G, and Chris Biolsi (Edison, N.J.) worked the Millersville pitcher for a walk.Â
Box Score Insights:
- Walters went 2-3 at the plate to lead the green-and-gold while Voss recorded the lone RBI hit for the contest.
- Felician as a whole surrendered the stat line of 16 hits with 44 at bats for 15 runs. The Golden Falcons pitching staff was able to strike out 11 with Dean Daddio (Jackson, N.J.) leading the staff with four.
