Six Golden Falcons Score in CACC Defeat at Dominican (N.Y.)

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. - Felician men's lacrosse (3-4 / 0-1 CACC) open up Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play at Domininican (N.Y.) University in Orangeburg, N.Y. Wednesday afternoon.

Six Golden Falcons were able to cage a goal in the day, but a large second quarter by the Chargers put away the game for the 7-13 Felician loss.

Here's What Happened:
  • Liam Dunn (Murfreesboro, T.N.) wasted no time putting the Golden Falcons on the board with a goal less than a minute into regulation, 1-0, however, it didn't take long for the Charger to equalize.
  • Jayden Rios (Stony Point, N.Y.) was able to propel the green-and-gold back out in front with a goal, 2-1, and the squad held off the hosts until four minutes remaining in the quarter. The Chargers took advantage of the Felician turnover and found the back of the case to close out the first tied at 2.
  • The hosts posted a five goal third quarter to jump out in front while the Golden Falcons only recorded two by Luke Dayton (Haddon Township, N.J.) and Jabes Escelante (South Hamilton, M.A.), 4-7.
  • By the start of the second half, Felician was held to a single goal in the third and two in the fourth to fall short of the Chargers for the 7-13 defeat.
Box Score Insights:
  • Rios led the charge with two goals and went 15-23 in face offs and snagged nine ground balls.
  • Dunn, Dayton, Escelante, Finn Crocker (Chelsea, M.A.), and Ethan Todner (Plainfield, I.L.) recorded a goal apiece.
  • Crocker, Dunn, and Cole Jungerkes (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) had one caused turnover each and Dunn was second on the team with four ground balls.
  • Nick Grebe (Farmingville, N.Y.) recorded the loss in the cage but managed to save 16.
