LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Felician softball (11-23 / 5-5 CACC) hit the road early Thursday morning for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader with Georgian Court in Lakewood, N.J.
A dominating game two with 15 Felician hits allows the Golden Falcons to split the series with the Lions dropped in game one 1-4 but took game two 11-6.
GAME ONE: 1-4 LOSS
Here's What Happened:
- The Lions tallied two runs in the bottom half of the first two innings to push Felician in a quick 0-2 deficit. Felician's first run of the day, and the lone run of game one, came from agressive baserunning by Jenna O'Reilly (Suffern, N.Y.) taking advantage of a Lion throwing error, 1-2.
- By the bottom half of the fifth, right after the O'Reilly run, the Lions added two more runs to edge the green-and-gold 1-4 for the game one Felician loss.
Box Score Insights:
- Alexis Velotta (Menifee, C.A.) posted the solo hit for the Golden Falcons and went 1-4 at th plate while Victorie Leon (Sylmar, C.A.) posted two walks.
- Riley Williams (Corona, C.A.) started game one to pitch 6.0 innings and struck out three.
GAME TWO: 11-6 VICTORY
Here's What Happened:
- Felician was quick to obtain the team with a run in the top half of the first to start game two with the Lions. The hosts weren't going to go down without a fight and they rallied four runs and once again edged the Golden Falcons for the 1-4 lead.
- By the second inning, Felician loaded the bases within the first three batters of the inning and equalized the score, 4-4, thanks the a Mia Martinez (Bronx, N.Y.) RBI at bat. Katie Steinmetz (Chula Vista, C.A.) allowed the Golden Falcons to reclaim their lead on a 2 RBI double, 6-4.
- Georigan Court battled back to tie the score at six, but were held scoreless for the remainder of the contest while Felician recorded five throughout for the 11-6 game two victory.
Box Score Insights:
- Daisha Howard (Westbury, N.Y.) went 2-3 with two RBI while Martinez went 2-5 with three RBI. Kylie Sharapan (Las Vegas, N.V.) also went 2-3 with two RBIs.
- Jazel Lopez (Carson, C.A.) and Mikayla Brown (Las Vegas, N.V.) pitched 1.0 innings each while Williams finished out the day with 5.0 innings pitched and struck out three.

Felician softball will return to action on Apr. 13 to play Jefferson University in Philadelphia, P.A. for a doubleheader starting at 12:00pm.
