Waterbury, CT — The Felician University women's basketball team faced a tough challenge on the road Tuesday evening, falling to Post University 79-64 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup. Despite standout performances from Katherine Ritchie and Ane Valle, the Golden Falcons couldn't contain the Eagles' late-game surge.

Felician (6-11, 1-4 CACC) started strong, staying within striking distance through the first half and trailing by just seven points at the break (38-31). Senior guard Katherine Ritchie delivered a stellar all-around performance, scoring a game-high 22 points while adding seven rebounds and four assists. Ane Valle, a force in the paint, recorded a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Stephanie Formby also contributed with 12 points to keep the Golden Falcons competitive.

In the third quarter, Felician outscored Post 21-14, cutting the deficit to just four points. However, the Eagles responded with a dominant fourth quarter, shooting an incredible 72.7% from the field and outscoring Felician 27-12 in the final frame. Post's Alyssa Rossignol led the charge with 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Naj White and Jayden Burns chipped in 12 points apiece.

Turnovers were a key factor in the game, with Post converting 27 Felician giveaways into 24 points. The Golden Falcons fought hard on the boards, grabbing 38 rebounds to Post's 41, but ultimately, it wasn't enough to overcome the Eagles' sharp shooting down the stretch.
