Golden Falcons Stage Stunning Comeback to Defeat Holy Family, 67-66

Philadelphia, Pa. – The Felician University Golden Falcons pulled off a dramatic comeback on Saturday afternoon, edging Holy Family University 67-66 at the Campus Center. The victory improves Felician to 12-6 overall and 5-3 in CACC play, while Holy Family drops to 6-14 (0-8 CACC).

Down by 17 at halftime, the Golden Falcons turned the game around with a relentless second-half effort, outscoring Holy Family 42-24 in the final 20 minutes. Felician's defense and timely scoring proved to be the difference, helping them erase the deficit and secure the narrow win.

Jhonny Tovar was the star of the day for Felician, delivering a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. His impact was felt on both ends of the court, especially in the game's final moments when he secured a critical rebound to seal the victory. Marcus Pierce was equally impressive, adding 13 points, 6 assists, and 2 steals while staying calm under pressure to guide the offense during the second-half surge.

Jamling Lama provided a spark off the bench, knocking down four three-pointers and finishing with 12 points in just 15 minutes of action. His sharpshooting kept Felician within striking distance during pivotal moments of the comeback. Jared White also played a key role, contributing 8 points and 9 rebounds while delivering steady play in key situations.

Holy Family came out firing in the first half, shooting 53% from the field and building a commanding 42-25 halftime lead. Omarion Jett led the Tigers with 19 points, while Ryan Holmes added 14 points off the bench. However, the Tigers struggled to maintain their momentum in the second half, shooting just 34.5% and going 2-for-8 from beyond the arc as Felician turned up the defensive intensity.

The Golden Falcons' defense forced key turnovers in the second half, leading to 18 points off turnovers and 22 fast-break points. With both teams trading baskets late in the game, Felician's defense came up with a critical stop in the final seconds to complete the comeback.

The win marks Felician's fourth victory in their last five games, keeping them in contention for a strong playoff push.

Felician travels to the University of Bridgeport on Tuesday, January 28th, for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
