Manchester, N.H. - The Felician University women's basketball team earned its first win of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Southern New Hampshire 78-66, hosted by Saint Anselm.
Felician controlled the game early, taking a 22-18 lead after the first quarter before extending to a 42-31 lead at halftime. The Golden Falcons shot 45 percent in the third quarter and outscored the Penmen 23-16 before heading into the fourth quarter.
Stephanie Formby led Felician with a 20-point, 12-rebound double-double.
Noella Biduaya provided a major spark with 18 points off the bench on 8-for-12 shooting, as
Ane Valle added nine points and five assists.
Felician showed great depth with 30 bench points and winning the rebounding battle 46-39. The Golden Falcons knocked down 10 threes and converted 21 points off SNHU's 24 turnovers.
