Men's Basketball Cruises Past Jefferson In Home Opener

Rutherford, NJ - Felician had to grind through a high-tempo, back-and-forth matchup before finally taking control in the second half. Intense ball pressure, high energy, and toughness down low were the keys to Felician pulling away for an 81–66 win.

The Golden Falcons matched Jefferson's pace early, trading buckets through stretches of the first half, but their ability to stay aggressive in the paint and create clean looks inside eventually shifted the momentum their way. Felician finished with 32 points around the rim, consistently finding ways to attack downhill when the game tightened.

As the pace picked up, Felician began turning stops into easy offense. Thirteen fast-break points came at key moments, especially during the run that helped them separate midway through the second half. Their activity on the offensive glass kept pressure on the Ravens, producing seventeen second-chance points off twelve offensive rebounds, which slowed down multiple Jefferson attempts to swing the momentum back.

The Golden Falcons also made the most of their defensive pressure, forcing twenty turnovers and converting them into thirteen points. Those live-ball opportunities fed directly into the pace of the game and allowed Felician to dictate tempo down the stretch. The bench added 16 points, giving the team useful sparks that helped maintain energy in an otherwise intense, high-possession matchup.

Once Felician found its rhythm and began stacking stops, the pace remained in their favor. Their blend of attacking offense, extra-effort plays, and timely contributions across the rotation ultimately carried them past a tight game and into a convincing finish.
