Men's Basketball Picks Up Eighth Win Following A Dominant Second Half

Rutherford, NJ - Felician delivered a complete performance on Sunday afternoon, pulling away in the second half to secure a convincing 91–77 victory over Saint Anselm.

The Golden Falcons played with pace and confidence from the opening tip, using strong ball movement and aggressive downhill attacks to keep pressure on the defense. That energy translated into a productive first half, as Felician shot efficiently, controlled stretches of play, and went into the break locked in a 46–46 tie.

Coming out of halftime, Felician elevated its intensity on both ends of the floor. The Golden Falcons began to assert themselves in transition and inside the paint, turning defensive stops into quick scoring opportunities. A balanced offensive attack fueled a steady run midway through the second half, allowing Felician to separate from what had been a tightly contested game. The Golden Falcons shot better than 55 percent in the second half and consistently capitalized on turnovers and fast-break chances to build a double-digit cushion.

Felician's ability to break away was also powered by physical play on the glass and sustained defensive effort. The Golden Falcons repeatedly created extra possessions with offensive rebounds and finished strong around the rim, outscoring the opposition in the paint and maintaining control down the stretch. As the final minutes unfolded, Felician continued to execute, extending the lead and closing out the game with composure.
