Women's Basketball Secures 79-68 Victory Over Chestnut Hill

Rutherford, N.J. – The Felician University women's basketball team delivered a commanding performance at Joal & Joseph Job Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon, earning a 79-68 victory over Chestnut Hill College in a pivotal Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup.

The Golden Falcons (8-13, 3-6 CACC) showcased an efficient offense, shooting 55.4% from the field and 41.7% from beyond the arc. Leading the charge was Stephanie Formby, who poured in a game-high 25 points on 10-of-19 shooting, adding seven rebounds and one block. Ane Valle recorded an impressive double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds, while Noella Biduaya contributed 12 points and three rebounds.

Felician established control early, outscoring Chestnut Hill 14-10 in the first quarter before extending their lead to 36-22 at halftime. A dominant third quarter saw the Golden Falcons put up 24 points, ensuring a comfortable margin heading into the final period.

Despite a late push from Chestnut Hill (11-11, 7-3 CACC), which posted 29 points in the fourth quarter, Felician maintained composure, capitalizing on key defensive stops and efficient free-throw shooting down the stretch.

Avery White led Chestnut Hill with 19 points, while Tikyra Miller and Caleigh Edwards each contributed 13 and 12 points, respectively. The Griffins shot 33.9% from the field but struggled to keep pace with Felician's balanced offensive attack.

Felician dominated in the paint, scoring 40 points inside while also forcing 26 turnovers, converting them into 27 points.

The Golden Falcons will look to carry their momentum into their next matchup at home on Wednesday, February 5th, when they take on Caldwell University.  Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
