Track & Field Shines in Action-Packed Weekend

The Felician Golden Falcons Track & Field team had a jam-packed weekend, competing at both the Fastrack Invitational at Ocean Breeze and the Frank Colden Invitational at Ursinus College. The team delivered a series of outstanding performances, setting school records and securing top finishes across multiple events.

Fastrack Invitational Highlights (Friday, February 9th) Leading the charge for the men's team was Samuel Yepps, who set a new school record in the 400m with a scorching time of 50.48. Fellow standout Amair Buffaloe delivered strong performances in the 60m (7.13) and the 200m (22.54). In the field events, Devin Jones dominated the long jump, hitting the board five times and securing victory with an impressive mark of 7.27m.

On the women's side, Chatoya Thomas continued her dominance on the track, clocking an impressive 25.84 in the 200m, placing 11th overall. Aarysa Moore just missed a seasonal best in the 60m hurdles (9.06), while Chimeremya Odoh broke her own school record in the 60m with a time of 7.94.

  • High Jump: Shane Connell – 1.90m/6'2.75" (4th Place)

  • Long Jump: Devin Jones – 7.27m/23'10.5" (2nd Place)

Frank Colden Invitational Highlights (Saturday, February 10th) The Golden Falcons carried their momentum into Saturday's competition. The men's team was led by the hurdle duo of Kelvin Urena (8.85) and Jan Biskup (9.0) in the 60m hurdles.

On the women's side, Imani Fitzpatrick put together a stellar run in the 400m, finishing with a time of 59.77. Darrian Lewis impressed in the 200m (26.73), while Catherine Catipay dominated the 800m, finishing first in 2:20.99.
