Staten Island, N.Y. - The men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Seahawk Shootout, hosted by Wagner College at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
The women took control in the field events.
Destiny Ellerbe earned a 12th place finish in the shot put with a 10.83 meter mark, followed by a 12.43 meter toss in the weight throw.
Aarysa Moore finished seventh in the high jump at 1.58 meters. Teammate
Taylor Peters was close behind in 14th place with a 1.48 meter mark. Peters finished in the top-25 in the long jump, behind
Yaralis Reid at 4.82 meters. The 4x200m relay team earned ninth place at 1:45.58.
The men were led by
Devin Jones, finishing third in the long jump. Jones marked a 7.06 meter jump. Jones also placed 17th in the 60m dash.Â
Alberto Liste and
Francis Osae-Kissiedu placed in the top-20 of the 60m hurdles. The 4x200m relay team earned eighth place at 1:31.69.Â
The Seahawk Shootout marked the last meet of 2025, as the Golden Falcons will return to competition in 2026 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invite on January 9.
