Piscataway, N.J. - The Golden Falcons took a trip to Rutgers University to compete in the Rutgers Relays, where they put on a show.
On the women's side,
Kaitlyn Vieira set the tone for the day with a top-10 finish in the 3,000m steeplechase, earning her spot in the CACC Championship.
Highlights of the day come from
Aarysa Moore, who had a pair of podium finishes, place third in the 100m hurdles with a record-breaking time and jumping a Division II ranked high jump. The women ended their day with a sixth place finish in the 4x100m relay behind strong splits from
Shaquira Walcott,
Chimeremya Odoh, Moore, and
Apple Brown.
The men's team had their fun down in Piscataway, off another dominant performance from
Devin Jones, who jumped a Division II ranked long jump, finishing fourth overall. The men started the day off similarly with a third place finish from
Joshua Ormilon in the 3,000m steeplechase. The underclassmen had themselves a day with top-10 ranks from sophomore
Alberto Liste in the 110m hurdles and Isaiah and Issac Gaston finished eighth and ninth in the pole vault, respectively. It was the 4x100m relay team that closed the day for the Golden Falcons, seeing Jones,
Jake DeJulia,
Courtney Howell, and
Devir Britton combine for a fifth place finish.
The Golden Falcons will be back in action next week at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
