Bethlehem, PA. - The men's and women's track and field teams turned in strong performances on Saturday, highlighted by multiple podium finishes.
The women delivered an impressive showing across both track and field events.
Chantoya Thomas led the way on the track, finishing second in the 200m at 26.32 seconds before capturing first place in the 400m.
Imani Fitzpatrick followed closely in the 400m, placing second.
Chimeremya Odoh added top-six finishes in both the 60m and the 200m.
Darrian Lewis competed in the 200m and 400m, placing ninth and 11th respectively.
In the hurdles and field events,
Aarysa Moore had a standout day, finishing second in the 60m hurdles, while also placing fourth in the high jump and third in the long jump.
Yaralis Reid placed fourth in the 60m hurdles and third in the long jump, as
Shaquira Walcott finished ninth in the long jump at 5.09 meters. The women closed the day with a first-place finish in the 4x400 relay, as Thomas, Fitzpatrick, Lewis, and
Kariyah Hamilton crossed the line at 4:10.85.
On the men's side,
Devin Jones led the field events with a first place finish in the long jump, recording another national qualifier at 7.40 meters.
Alberto Liste added a second-place finish in the 60m hurdles.
Amair Buffaloe placed second in the 200m, as
Courtney Howell finished sixth.
Devir Britton competed in both sprint events, placing top-10 in the 60m and 200m. The men's 4x400 relay team of Buffaloe,
Amir Elkholy,
Jake DeJulia, and Howell closed the meet with a second-place finish.Â
