Lansing, MI - The Felician women's bowling team's historic run came to a close on Friday at the Lansing Regional of the NCAA National Collegiate Women's Bowling Championship. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champions were eliminated after mega-match losses to No. 5 Witchita State and No. 16 Fairleigh Dickinson.
Felician, ranked No. 22 nationally, opened the day against Witchita State. The Shockers posted impressive scores to win both the traditional game (999-847) and Baker total pinfall (1088-953). Senior

Mackenzie Keane led the Golden Falcons with matching 197 games in traditional play.Â
In the elimination round, Felician rebounded against FDU, taking the traditional game 891-879 behind a 220 game from Ferrara and another 197 from Keane.
The Baker total pinfall round was intense. The teams were separated by one pin through four games before FDU pulled ahead with a 202-183 advantage in the fifth, securing a narrow 961-941 win and forcing a best-of-seven series.Â
FDU jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Felician came back with a two-pin win in game three. The Knights regained control with a 176-174 win in game four before sealing the match in game five, 211-166.
The Golden Falcons' appearance marks the first CACC team in the tournament. Felician wraps up their season with a 75-34 dual-match record.
