Concord, N.H. - The Felician men's golf team placed seventh at the Southern New Hampshire Granite State Open at 18-over par....
The Golden Falcons had a fast start to the first round as
Pablo Hidalgo led the field. Hidalgo fired a 5-under par 67, featuring five birdies with four on the front nine.
Diego Herrera and
Daniel Martensson were just behind Hidalgo, firing an even-par 72 and 1-over par 73, respectively. The team sat in fifth place at 5-over par to end round one.
Felician finished the second round in a share of fifth place at 11-over par. Hidalgo continued to lead the team, but fell to eighth place with a 2-over par 74 round.
Freshman
Alvaro Rogado Tobio had a stellar second round, shooting a 3-under par 69 with five birdies.
The tournament concluded on Tuesday afternoon after another 18 holes. Felician ended in seventh place at 18-over par, after shooting 7-over par for the day. Hidalgo continued his strong showing with a 1-over par 73 to share ninth place at 2-under par.
Martensson concluded his performance with an even-par round, including a stellar eagle on the par-five second hole.
