Lafayette Hill, PA. – Felician opened CACC play on Saturday with a 2–0 setback at Chestnut Hill.
The Golden Falcons generated six shots, with three on target. Senior goalkeeper Isabella Riollano turned in a strong performance in net, collecting 11 saves to keep Felician within reach throughout the match. She stopped five shots in the opening half and added six more after intermission.
Kate Braun provided the bulk of Felician's attacking chances, finishing with three shots, including two on goal. Tabitha Mwaura and Emma Miller each added a shot attempt, while Anne Noonan and Braun both pressured the Griffins defenders.
Felician was disciplined in stretches but drew three yellow cards in the contest. Despite the result, the Golden Falcons showed defensive resilience against constant pressure, particularly in the second half as Riollano continued to build on a stellar sophomore campaign posting eleven saves.
The Golden Falcons are back in action this upcoming Thursday, as they host the Eagles of Post University.
