Worcester, MA. – The Golden Falcons turned in two hard-fought performances on Saturday, dropping 3–1 decisions to both Assumption University and Southern Connecticut State in a Tri-Match. Felician battled throughout each set, showing strong stretches of offense and defense while several players delivered standout efforts across both contests.
Game One (25–23, 19–25, 26–24, 25–14)
In game one of the day for the Golden Falcons, Felician would drop a 3–1 decision to Assumption University. In the contest, Felician tallied fifty kills, sixteen service aces, and five total blocks.
Sara Betts paced the Golden Falcons with thirteen kills, three service aces, and 17.5 points, while Rowan Jensen recorded fourteen kills, ten digs, and three aces for 17.0 points. Sandra Galas added eleven kills, a team-high twenty-two digs, and five service aces for 16.5 points. At the net, Elisia Hamilton chipped in seven kills and two blocks, and Faith Sibert contributed two blocks as well. Setter Sophia Watterson directed the offense with twenty-six assists, seven digs, and a service ace, while Caydence Franz added fourteen assists.Defensively, Kayden Mallette led Felician with twenty-one digs and three service aces from the back row. The Golden Falcons would drop game two of the Tri-Match to Southern Connecticut State University, falling 3–1. Felician totaled forty kills, nine service aces, and nine blocks in the contest.
Rowan Jensen paced the Golden Falcons with eleven kills, seven digs, two service aces, and 13.0 points. Elisia Hamilton provided a strong presence at the net with ten kills on a .318 hitting percentage and four blocks, while Sara Betts contributed eight kills, four blocks, and 11.5 points.Sandra Galas chipped in eight kills, ten digs, two blocks, and a service ace for 10.0 points. Setter Sophia Watterson dished out twenty-six assists to go with four digs and three aces, while Caydence Franz added five assists.
