Women's Volleyball Drop Two On The Road

Manchester, NH – Felician dropped their first match of the day, falling to Minnesota Crookston in three straight sets. In game two, the Golden Falcons would battle through four sets before falling to Saint Anselm, 3–1. 

Game One (25–7, 25–16, 25–20)

The Golden Falcons found themselves outmatched early as Crookston hit an impressive .588 in the opening set and never looked back, finishing with a .477 attack percentage on forty-four kills to just three errors. Felician showed stretches of improvement as the match progressed, particularly in the third set when they registered eleven kills and three team blocks to push the Golden Eagles before coming up short, 25–20. Rowan Jensen paced Felician with eight kills and seven digs, adding a block assist and a service ace for 9.5 points. Ashanna Caviness contributed five kills, eight digs, and a block assist, while setter Sophia Watterson handed out ten assists with five digs and a service ace. Kayden Mallette anchored the defense with ten digs and chipped in six assists.

Game Two (26–24, 25–19, 24–26, 25–20)

The Golden Falcons put together a balanced offensive effort, finishing with forty-five kills and thirty-four assists. Sandra Galas paced the attack with thirteen kills and twelve digs, adding a service ace for 14.5 points. Rowan Jensen turned in a strong performance with twelve kills, nineteen digs, and two aces, totaling fifteen points. Felician's setters were efficient, as Sophia Watterson handed out fourteen assists with two aces, while Caydence Franz added ten assists and two aces of her own. The Golden Falcons collected eight aces as a team.

Defensively, Felician kept rallies alive with fifty-four digs, led by Jensen and libero Kayden Mallette, who tallied thirteen. At the net, the Golden Falcons recorded six total blocks. Elisia Hamilton and Faith Sibert each contributed two blocks, with Sibert adding four kills on .375 hitting efficiency. Ashanna Caviness chipped in four kills, two blocks, and 5.5 points.

Despite the loss, Felician showed grit by rallying in the third set, closing it out 26–24 to extend the match.
