Men's Basketball Holds Off Post To Remain Unbeaten In CACC Play

Rutherford, NJ - Felician delivered another complete performance at home on Thursday night, securing a 75–68 victory behind a fast-paced opening half and sustained control for most of the contest. The Golden Falcons set the tone early by playing with tempo on both ends, pushing the ball in transition and attacking the glass to build a commanding cushion before halftime.

The pace of the game favored Felician from the opening tip. The Falcons raced out to a 45–28 halftime advantage, using quick offensive possessions and aggressive rebounding to overwhelm Post. Felician led for nearly the entire game, holding the advantage for 35:47 of the 40 minutes, with only one lead change and two ties throughout the night. The largest lead reached 19 points in the first half, reflecting Felician's ability to string together scoring runs and maintain pressure.

Felician's team totals underscored the balanced attack. The Golden Falcons finished with 75 points while controlling key hustle categories, including a 53–41 rebounding edge. Second-chance opportunities proved decisive, as Felician converted 17 second-chance points by consistently extending possessions on the offensive glass. That rebounding effort fueled an up-tempo style that also produced 18 fast break points.

Interior scoring and ball movement remained steady factors. Felician generated 30 points in the paint and capitalized on defensive stops by turning turnovers into offense, scoring 8 points off turnovers. The bench made a significant impact as well, contributing 23 points and helping maintain energy and pace throughout the game. Even when Post trimmed the deficit in the second half and briefly tied the game, Felician responded with timely baskets and defensive plays to reestablish control and close out the win.
