Rutherford, NJ – Felician continued their excellence at home with a 3-1 victory over Lincoln (PA). The Golden Falcons dropped a tightly contested opening set before dominating the final three, winning 24-26, 25-12, 25-13 and 25-13 to improve to 12-8 overall and 4-2 in CACC play.
The Golden Falcons battled through a back-and-forth opening set that featured two ties and two lead changes. The Golden Falcons trailed 18-12 before rallying to take a 21-18 lead. Lincoln responded with a late push, eventually forcing extra points before taking the set, 26-24.The Golden Falcons responded immediately in the second set, opening a 3-0 lead behind 3 straight service aces from Bentley Rone. Felician continued to build its advantage, taking a 12-5 lead before extending it to 18-7. The Golden Falcons closed the set with a 25-12 victory to even the match. Felician carried that momentum into the third set, jumping out to a 10-3 advantage. The Golden Falcons continued to control the frame, extending their lead to 15-4 before closing out the set, 25-13.The Golden Falcons completed the comeback in the fourth set, opening with a 5-0 run and maintaining control throughout the frame. Felician eventually took a 20-11 lead before closing out the match, 25-13.
