Rutherford, NJ - Felician delivered one of its most resilient performances of the season, storming back to defeat Dominican (NY) 87-82 in overtime at Job Gymnasium and clinching the 2025-26 CACC Regular Season Championship along with the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament.
The bout would live up to the hype, featuring nine lead changes and ten ties in a tightly contested battle from start to finish. After trailing by ten points in the second half, the Golden Falcons mounted a composed and determined comeback, stringing together defensive stops and high-percentage looks inside to erase the deficit and force overtime.
Felician controlled the extra session, outscoring Dominican 14-9 in overtime behind disciplined free-throw shooting and defensive execution. The Falcons shot 33-of-74 (44.6%) from the field and converted sixteen free throws, several of which came during the decisive final minutes.
Interior dominance played a major role in the victory. Felician poured in fifty-two points in the paint while converting twenty-eight two-point field goals. Their effort on the glass created sixteen second-chance points, and they added eighteen fast-break points by pushing the tempo in key stretches. Defensive pressure also proved critical, as the Falcons turned turnovers into twenty-four points.
