Rutherford, NJ – Women's volleyball picked up a 3-0 victory over Post University Wednesday evening at home, to remain unbeaten in 'The Nest.' The Golden Falcons defeated the Eagles by set scores of 25-19, 25-16 and 29-27 to improve to 9-6 overall and 2-1 in CACC play.
Felician came out strong in the opening set, jumping ahead 5-0 behind 3 early kills from Sandra Galas. Post trimmed the deficit to 13-9, but the Golden Falcons maintained control and extended their advantage to 20-16. Felician closed the set, 25-19, to take the early lead.
The Golden Falcons carried the momentum into the second set, turning a 4-3 deficit into a 7-5 advantage. Felician continued to build its lead, going ahead 17-10 following a service ace from Galas. The Golden Falcons reached set point at 24-14 before closing out the frame, 25-16, to take a 2-0 lead.
Post opened the third set with a 3-0 lead before Felician answered with a 5-0 run to take an 8-5 advantage. The teams continued to battle throughout the frame, with Felician taking a 16-14 lead after back-to-back service aces from Bentley Rone. Post responded with a 4-0 run to take an 18-16 lead, setting up a back-and-forth finish.
