FLUSHING, N.Y. – Women's Volleyball continued its strong start to the 2026-27 season Thursday evening, sweeping Queens College, 3-0, at Fitzgerald Gymnasium. The Golden Falcons claimed the match by set scores of 25-21, 25-12 and 25-22 to improve to 4-1 on the season. This victory over Queens marked the programs first win against the Knights in program history.
Felician finished with 38 kills on 89 attacks while hitting .270 as a team. Peyton Kellam led the Golden Falcons with 10 kills, while Sandra Galas added seven and Faith Sibert and Leena Ortiz each contributed five. Bentley Rone recorded 19 assists, Sophia Watterson added 14, and Rowan Jensen paced the defensive effort with 23 digs.

Peyton Kellam led Felician with 10 kills on 19 attacks while hitting .421. She also recorded one service ace and 13 digs for 11.0 points.

Sandra Galas finished with seven kills on 27 attacks, one assist, five service aces and 14 digs for 12.0 points.

Faith Sibert recorded five kills on 11 attacks while hitting .455 and added one block assist.

Leena Ortiz contributed five kills on nine attacks while hitting .444 and added one block assist.

Bentley Rone directed the offense with 19 assists while adding two kills, three service aces and two digs.

SET 1 (25-21) | Felician and Queens battled through a tight opening set before the Golden Falcons began to create separation late. With the score tied 16-16, Felician scored six of the next eight points, including kills from Bentley Rone, Peyton Kellam and Sandra Galas, to take a 22-18 advantage. Galas followed with another kill to make it 23-20, and Megan Barker's service ace gave Felician set point at 24-20. Queens answered with a point before a Golden Rams attack error gave Felician the 25-21 victory.

SET 2 (25-12) | The Golden Falcons exploded out of the gate in the second set, racing to an 8-4 advantage before extending their lead to 14-6. Felician continued to pull away as Rone served consecutive aces during a 5-0 run that pushed the lead to 18-8. Galas and Ashanna Caviness followed with kills before Felician closed the set on another run, taking the frame, 25-12, and moving within one set of the sweep.

SET 3 (25-22) | Queens took an early 4-2 lead, but Felician quickly answered and eventually moved ahead 8-6. Galas then recorded a service ace before the Golden Falcons built a 14-8 advantage. Queens battled back to make it 14-12 and eventually pulled within one at 18-17. Felician responded with three straight points, including kills from Sibert and Kellam, to take a 21-17 lead. Queens again cut the deficit to one at 23-22, but Kellam answered with a kill before another Kellam kill closed out the sweep, 25-22.
