James Anthony Simpson... versatile senior begins 2012 campaign as the starting second baseman.

2011: Second-Team All-CACC utility player... led team with .300 batting average (36 for 120) and .393 on-base percentage... had four doubles, two triples, 21 runs scored, 17 RBI, 16 walks and four stolen bases... topped Felician with 11 multi-hit games... played in 43 games, starting 39... started 21 games at 2B, 16 at 3B, and 2 in LF.

2010: Played in 38 games, starting 28, finishing season as starting left fielder... batted .172 with three doubles, a triple, 15 runs and 11 RBI... made 10 starts at 2B and 18 in LF.

2009: Appeared in 33 games, starting 19... made 10 starts at 2B, seven at 3B, and one each at SS and DH... batted .207 with a home run, 13 runs, and 15 runs batted in.

Prior to Felician: Two-time honorable-mention all-Dade for coach Phil Wisser at Coral Gables High... also played golf... member of Westbury American Legion Post 47 squad.

Personal: Son of James and Susan Simpson... father James is a longtime high school baseball and football coach (Coral Gables, Miami Country Day)... joined Felician's golf team in Fall 2011 semester... criminal justice major... born 9/21/89 in Miami, Fla.
