Kevin E. Whitehead... Division-I transfer gives Golden Falcons a much-needed left-handed power threat.

2011: Played at Division I Canisius College of Buffalo, N.Y... appeared in 29 games, starting 16, for the 26-32 Golden Griffins... batted .234 with a .393 OBP... had two doubles, six runs, and seven RBI... spent the summer with the Watertown Wizards of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.

2010: Played at Canisius College... he and twin brother Scott were members of the Golden Griffins' MAAC Championship team... played in seven games with one start... went 2 for 11 with a double, five runs, three RBI and two walks... Canisius was 39-21 overall, 19-5 MAAC.

Prior to College: Second-team all-state for coach Les Simon at Kenmore East High... was also second-team all-Western New York in volleyball and two-time first-team all-league in basketball... was twice named the school Athlete of the Year.

Personal: One of four children of Dan and Eileen Whitehead... twin brother Scott still pitches for Canisius... criminal justice major... born 5/30/91 in Buffalo, N.Y.
