Gerson Martinez

Gerson Martinez enters his fifth year as a women’s soccer assistant coach in 2026. 

Prior to joining the Golden Falcons, Gerson spent five years working with the New York Red Bulls and several youth programs, including the Lawrence Hmannett Soccer Association and the Northern Burlington Flames. Gerson won state cups with both clubs in 2019, coaching U15 Boys and U19 Girls teams, respectively. Additionally, Gerson worked at the Metuchen Sportsplex in the youth soccer programs and summer camps.

In tune with New Jersey soccer, Gerson has professional playing experience across the state, playing in several men’s semi-pro and amateur leagues. Gerson also spent time playing internationally in El Salvador, playing in the country's second division for C.D. Titan. 

Gerson holds a USSF "C" license, Barcelona's Philosophy of Coaching certificate, and Ajax's Player Development certificate. 

Gerson graduated from Rider University, earning a degree in Liberal Arts.
