Biography

Tonia (toe-NEE-uh) Shantaya Ford... veteran middle blocker is team's only four-year Golden Falcon.

2014: Played in all 81 of team's sets, often all-around... hit .105 with 1.68 kills, 0.79 digs and .053 blocks per set, all career highs... led Felician and was 27th in CACC in blocking... reached 10+ kills three times, including 15 vs. Goldey-Beacom 9/20... seven blocks vs. Nyack 10/3... six kills and career-best 12 digs vs. Post 10/8... sits fourth on school's career block list (122).

2013: Appeared in 79 sets over 23 matches... had career-best .124 attack percentage... averaged 1.68 kills, 0.39 digs and 0.27 blocks per set... hit .348 with 12 kills and three aces vs. Chestnut Hill 10/5.

2012: Played in 23 matches... totaled 37 kills, 27 digs and 31 blocks in 71 sets... had five blocks vs. Mercy 9/13

2011: Appeared in 21 matches... in 69 sets, averaged 0.84 kills, 0.35 digs and 0.39 blocks... tied for team lead in service aces per set (0.26).

Prior to Felician: Played for coach Patricia Longo at Bayonne High... also participated in softball and fencing... played for former Felician assistant Justin Beaumont at the Lady Chargers Academy.

Personal: Daughter of Tia Shipman... majoring in graphic design... born 4/16/93 in Hoboken, N.J.
