Felician Outpaced by Setters

RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician University men's basketball ran into a formidable Pace University squad Tuesday night at home in the form of a 78-55 decision in favor of the Setters. Prior to the game, Felician University Athletics presented the 2021-22 CACC men's basketball championship team its rings. On hand were Felician University President James W. Crawford III and Director of Athletics Andrew Toriello.

The Golden Falcons did present a challenge for Pace late in the first half, cutting as much as a 13-point Setters lead at 26-13 with just over six minutes to play down to five at the half, 33-28. Pace regained momentum to start the second half, taking its lead to as much as 23 by the time the buzzer sounded.

Sean McCarthy (Cork, Ireland) tied for the game high alongside Pace's Bryan Powell with 18 points and a team-high eight assists. Ebuka Nnagbo (Niagara Falls, NY) totaled 11 points, while Anas Amos (Newark, NJ) posted eight markers. Julius David Jr. (Rutherford, NJ) tallied three 3-pointers for nine points off the bench. Anas Amos (Newark, NJ) posted eight points with six assists.

Pace shot 45.5 percent for the night (30-of-66), including 11-of-25 on threes to Felician's 35.3 (18-of-51) making 7-of-22 from long range. The Setters led on the boards, 42-25.

The Golden Falcons are southbound this weekend, traveling to face Fairmont State Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
