Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Felician men's basketball team overcame trailing Roberts Wesleyan for most of the game Saturday to take a 56-51 lead with 4:55 to play. The host Redhawks, however, closed the game on a 15-2 run in a 66-58 decision over the Golden Falcons.
Despite Roberts Wesleyan holding an advantage, Felician never trailed by as more as nine points and broke through on Anas Amos' layup to lead 49-47 with 7:18 left. A pair of Angelo Santiago free throws gave the Golden Falcons their largest lead at 56-51 before six straight Redhawks points put the hosts ahead to stay. An Amos layup accounted for the remaining Felician points as he totaled a game-high 21 points for his second straight 20-point game with 11 rebounds. Ebuka Nnagbo also had a double-double with 12 points and a career-best 15 boards.
The Golden Falcons shot 28.4 percent for the game (21-of-74) to RW's 32.8 percent (21-of-64), making 3-of-22 threes to the Redhawks' 6-of-30. Felician made 13-of-17 free throws as Roberts Wesleyan made 18-of-22. The rebounding efforts of Amos, Nnagbo, and Etnik Peci's nine rebounds with nine points helped Felician win the rebounding battle 50-45. The Golden Falcons also led 17-8 in points off turnovers from the hosts' 11 turnovers and 14-7 in second chance points.
