PHILADELPHIA, P.A. - Felician Women's Soccer made a slight adjustment to their schedule as they played Thomas Jefferson University Friday afternoon rather than Saturday to avoid forecasted weather. In the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference event, the Golden Falcons finalized the match scoreless as they dropped 2-0 to the Rams.
Throughout the first 45-minutes of play, the Golden Falcons were held to zero shots while the host posted 12. Green-and-gold keeper,
Alexis Lambertino (Hammington, N.J.) captured a total of nine saves, six of them in the first half.
Kate Braun (Long Branch, N.J.) paced the Golden Falcons in the second half leading the team with 3 shots and one on goal. The sophomore had the opportunity to give Felician its first point of the match, and to aid in avoiding the shut out, on a penalty kick opportunity. As the Rams keeper snagged the save, the Golden Falcons ultimately dropped by two in the conference match to fall to 0-8-3 overall and 0-5-1 in the CACC.
The Golden Falcons will return to action next Tuesday, Oct. 17, when they host Georgian Court at 12:00pm on Tryon Field in Rutherford, N.J.
