PHILADELPHIA, P.A. - Felician Men's Soccer made the return to Philadelphia to play Thomas Jefferson University Tuesday afternoon. In the event, the Golden Falcons battled back from a one goal deficit to equalize the score and ultimately fall short after a second Rams goal, 2-1, for their second consecutive CACC loss.Â
During the first, the Rams got on the board with a 20th minute goal while the rest of the first half remained scoreless on both sides. Not even a minute into the second half,
Alex Ramos (Almada, Portugal) dribbled the ball to the far left side of the field for a cross and found the head of
Gianluca Trastulli (Rome, Italy) to level up the score at one, 1-1.
Jefferson recorded 12 shots in the second, five on goal, one of which snuck by
Emanuele Moretti (Rome, Italy) to seal with 2-1 win. Moretti saved a total of five on the day and
Hugo Rodriguez (Madrid, Spain) and
Lorenzo Ferrari (Palestro, Italy) had three shots each.Â
After this afternoon's loss, the men's soccer squad is 10-4-1 overall and 7-2 in the CACC. They will look to bounce back from the losing skid when they host Wilmington (Del.) for their senior day event on Tryon Field this Saturday at 8:00pm.
