Men's Soccer Remains Perfect in the CACC After Bridgeport Win

RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Felician men's soccer is sitting 4-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference after a 5-0 win over University of Bridgeport Wednesday afternoon. Erick Aguiar (Praia, Cape Verde) recorded his first two goal of the season, in back-to-back fashion, during the final moments of the second half.

Felician's on goal target was spot on in the contest as they posted 14 shots total while 11 of them were in goal range. Riccardo Benini (Rome, Italy), Hugo Rodriguez (Madrid, Spain), and Alex Ramos (Almada, Portugal) each recorded a goal and Lorenzo Ferrari (Palestro, Italy), Massimo Girardi (Rome, Italy), Anthony Medina (San Sebastian, Spain), Salvador Rang (Doorn, Netherlands), and Yusuf Mahmoud (Fall church, V.A.) had an assist.

Majority of the first half, the scoreboard sat empty as both teams could not net a point... that is until Ferrari rushed down the field to find a sliding Benini to break the ice for the first Golden Falcon goal of the afternoon. About 10-minutes later with two and a half minutes left until intermission, the green-and-gold scored another point to hold a 2-0 advantage over the Purple Knights.

Ramos netted his goal on a penalty kick opportunity to continue to add onto the Felician lead 3-0 with just a little under 20-minutes left to play in the contest. With Aguiar coming alive and booting two of his own, the green-and-gold secured the 5-0 shutout win, their second of the season.

In net for the Golden Falcons was Emanuele Moretti (Rome, Italy) who captured four saves in the win for his record to improve with the team's to 6-1-1.

Men's Soccer looks to continue the winning stride when they visit Goldey-Beacom on Saturday in Delaware for a 2:30pm contest.
