COLCHESTER, V.T. - The Felician men's basketball squad was coming off of a 20+ point win over Assumption University Friday afternoon to enter the Saturday contest against the tournament hosts, St. Michael's College. In the event, the Golden Falcons amassed a 38-37 lead at half to then drop 37-52 in the second for the 89-75 loss.Â
Dee-End McRae (Newark, N.J.) reached a career milestone when he became the 12th men's basketball Golden Falcon to secure 1,000 points. He currently sits at 1,003 when he netted four points through the second half of play against the Purple Knights.Â
Felician held its largest lead of 9 in the first half, 24-15, until a 16-2 Purple Knights run, 31-26, for a massive momentum shift. 30-seconds until halftime, Felician recorded two-freebees for the 38-37 lead as intermission commenced. Throughout the second, the Golden Falcons were held to 37 points while the Purple Knights netted 52 and handed the Golden Falcons the Saturday contest loss. After the weekend wrapped up, each of the competing teams posted a 1-1 record and the "Most Valuable Player" of the tournament was awarded to a Purple Knight.Â
