RUTHERFORD, N.J. - In the final meeting of the regular season, Felician volleyball (11-13 / 9-5 CACC) hosted Post University Thursday evening in JJJ Gymnasium. With the Golden Falcons capturing the first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match win on Oct. 3 in a five set thriller, the green-and-gold swept up the overall series with a 3-0 victory over the Eagles. 

Felician opened up the night with a 25-15 first set win to immediately hold a 1-0 advantage over the opposer. Come the second set, the Eagles battled back for a 5-11 lead and by their 14th point, the Golden Falcons rallied five for the 15-14 score flip. The scored volleyed between the two teams until the score sat at 23-22 in favor of Felician. Sophia Watterson (Bowling Green, K.Y.) recorded one of her five service aces to put the hosts in position for the second set victory and Karla Maldonado (Morovis, Puerto Rico) finished the job with a kill for the 2-0 match lead. 

As the Golden Falcons edged the Eagles, the squad maintained momentum as they held a 12-4 lead to ignite the third. By the end of it, the Golden Falcons soared with the 25-20 win and the overall match for the series sweep.

Maldonado paced the team with 16 kills while Megan Barker (St. Catharine's, Canada) had nine and Sara Betts (Goodyear, A.Z.) had six. Jelena Vucic (Smederevo, Serbia) and Miquela Martinez (Santa Fe, N.M.) led the defensive end with Vucic posting six blocks and Martinez with 19 digs. 

The Golden Falcons will be back on in JJJ Gymnasium on Saturday to host their Senior Day celebrations against Jefferson University at 12:00pm.
