BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - Men's Basketball hit the road to play game two of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference double-header against Bloomfield College Saturday afternoon. With four Golden Falcons recorded double figure points, the green-and-gold toppled the tenth regionally ranked team in the east, 94-79.
Felician closed out the first half with a commanding 51-37 lead over the hosts, however, due to the green-and-gold surge in the opening half it provided a safety net for the squad as the Bears were only outscored by one in the second.
Here's What Happened:
- The hosts opened up the contest with an 8-0 run until Jaylen Colon (Paterson, N.J.) put Felician on the board with a lay in. As the Bear's lead became extended to nine, 6-15, Abdul Shanunu (Accra, Ghana) ignited the Felician offense with two back to back treys for a a swift six points to put the squad down my five, 12-17.
- Shanunu's 12 points in the first half, along with Justin Davis (Jersey City, N.J.) aided in Felician's drive to capture the lead on two more Shanunu baskets and a Jhonny Tovar (Caracas, Venezuela) lay up, 22-19.
- By the end of the first half, the Golden Falcons held a 51-37 advantage and the squad shooting 58% from the field.
- Davis opened up the final half with a trey to continue to edge the Bears, 54-37, and eventually Felician saw their largest lead of the night at 22 (59-37) when Dee-End McRae (Newark, N.J.) recorded two-points.
- The Bears were able to rally back to cut the deficit to 12, but the first half dominance by the Golden Falcons allowed them to create a safety net for the 94-79 victory and their second CACC win of the season.
Box Score Insights:
- Davis led the charge with 24-points and Shanunu right behind with 17 shooting 3-4 from behind the arc.
- Colon recorded 12-points five assists and three steals while Tovar had 10 points, and one steal.

The Golden Falcons improve to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the CACC. They will be back in JJJ Gymnasium on Monday to host Bowie State at 7:00pm.
