Box Score BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The Felician University men's basketball squad visited Bloomfield Tuesday. Etnik Peci (Pristina, Kosovo) delivered his second 21-point performance in three games and Ebuka Nnagbo (Niagara Falls. N.Y.) charting his fifth double-double of the campaign, but it would not be enough as the Bears won, 91-67.
Ahead, 13-12, Bloomfield scored on its next four possessions to start a 20-5 run to lead, 33-17, with 8:51 remaining in the first half. Peci scored 14 of his season-high points total in the opening half to help keep the Golden Falcons in the game as Bloomfield led, 45-31, at halftime. The Bears' attack remained potent in the second half, as their noteworthy shooting upped their lead to as much as 28 to run away with the win.
Peci finished the day at 9-of-17 from the field, hitting on 3-of-7 threes, while totaling five rebounds and five assists. Nnagbo collected 12 points with 13 rebounds, while Jonathan Edwards (Waterbury, Conn.) finished with 15 points and five rebounds. Bloomfield's Andres Fulgencio led all scorers with 25 points, nailing 7-of-11 threes and 9-of-14 from the field.
Bloomfield shot 53.1 percent for the contest (34-of-64), knocking down 17-of-31 threes and 6-of-8 free throws. Felician made 37.1 percent (26-of-70), making 5-of-25 triples and 10-of-12 from the charity stripe. The Golden Falcons led, 15-8 in points off turnovers off 13 Bears turnovers, and 14-6 in second chance points.
Felician's next challenge sees them hosting Bridgeport on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. on Senior Day.
