Four Golden Falcons Score to Cruise Past Dominican

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – Felician men's soccer continued conference play at Dominican (N.Y.) University Wednesday afternoon in Orangeburg, N.Y. After entering the second half with a 1-1 score, the Golden Falcons were able to net three goals for the 4-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Win (CACC) for a 2-0 conference record.

Felician, as a unit, posted 37 shots through 90-minutes of play and had four Golden Falcons secure one goal apiece in the win.

Lorenzo Ferrari (Rome, Italy) found the back of the net first for the green-and-gold with just a little over seven minutes in the first half. As the time ticked on, the Chargers were able to dispossess the Golden Falcons to center the ball and equalized the score 1-1.

As the green-and-gold entered the second half, they did not allow the hosts to capture another goal for the remainder of the match. When the Golden Falcons regained momentum for the 2-1 lead, Manuel Otero (Sanxenxo, Spain) found Hugo Rodriguez (Madrid, Spain) striking through the middle of the box to have Rodriguez record his first collegiate career goal.

Matt Greenway (Birmingham, England) and Tim Jaeger (Schwalmtal, Germany) were the final Golden Falcons to score for the 4-1 victory over Dominican. Rodriguez paced the aggressive offense with five shots and one goal while Ferrari, Massimo Girardi (Rome, Italy), Riccardo Benini (Bologna, Italy), and Erick Aguiar had four shots each. Otero also had two assists in the afternoon while Girardi and Benini had one.

Men's Soccer (3-1-1) will be back in action this Saturday to host Georgian Court University at Newark Academy in Livingston, N.J. for a 4:30pm start.
