NEW HAVEN, C.T. - A three-game win streak has been broken for Felician Volleyball as they were toppled by the University of New Haven Chargers, 0-3, in non-conference play Thursday evening.
The Golden Falcons fell 13-25, 11-25, and 9-25 respectively with
Sara Betts (Goodyear, A.Z.),
Megan Barker (St. Catharine's, Ontario), and
Faith Sibert (Wyandotte, M.I.) recording four kills each. Defensively,
Miquela Martinez (Santa Fe, N.M.) snagged 10 digs and
Ashanna Caviness (Bogota, N.J.) and
Mariam Kromah (Willingboro, N.J.) defended the net with 2 blocks.
As a whole, Felician had 21 kills but with 18 errors compared to the Chargers 38 kills and 6 errors as the hosts handed the the Golden Faclons the non-conference loss.
The Golden Falcons will return back to conference play in Rutherford, N.J. Saturday when they host Dominican (N.Y.) University at 12:00pm in JJJ Gymnasium.
