Men’s Soccer Walks Away With the Win 2-0 Against Goldey-Beacom

Rutherford NJ - Felician University Men's Soccer went up against Goldey-Beacom at Newark Academy. In an aggressive contest, the Golden Falcons would walk away victorious 2-0, bringing in their 9th win on the season. Here's a breakdown of what occurred during this afternoon contest.

First Half: Felician started the match assertively, with goalkeeper Emanuele Moretti protecting the net. They faced some early foul calls but quickly found their rhythm. At the 7:24 mark, Alex Ramos made a powerful shot, which was initially saved by Goldey-Beacom's keeper, but just moments later, Ramos netted the first goal of the match, putting Felician ahead 1-0. Felician maintained offensive pressure throughout the half, with several shot attempts. Hugo Rodriguez and Nic Robinson both had promising chances, though their shots went wide. Felician was active defensively as well with stops coming in by Alavaro Martin Casedo, as he returned back from his injury and didn't miss a step. Felician held their lead at 1-0 as the half concluded, with the hopes of growing their lead.

Second Half: Felician began the second half confidently. In the 58th minute, they extended their lead with a beautifully executed goal by Hugo Rodriguez, assisted by Tim Jaeger and Alex Ramos, making it 2-0.The Golden Falcons continued to play solidly both offensively and defensively. Shuntaro Morimoto and Nic Robinson kept creating chances, while Moretti made critical saves to deny Goldey-Beacom any hope of a comeback. Throughout the second half, Felician's defense stayed strong, absorbing pressure and maintaining their composure. Felician dominated both halves of the game, finishing with a well-earned 2-0 victory. Their combination of offensive creativity and defensive discipline sealed the win, continuing their solid form.
