Rutherford NJ - Felician University Women's Bowling traveled to the Golden Bear Invite this past weekend in Sinking Springs, Pennsylvania. In what would be a great test for the Golden Falcons, the team would finish 5th out of the 12 teams and an impressive record of 7-3 during the weekend's contests. Felician would knock down a total of 8,930 pins across the two days, for a 175.1 team average.
Leading the team was Vivian Luna, who finished 7th overall out of 78 bowlers. Luna averaged 190.0 across five matches, with a team high individual game of 224. Mackenzie Keane followed in 16th place, knocking down 900 pins for an average score of 180.0 over five matches. In traditional match play, the Golden Falcons secured wins against Wagner College (863-818), Molloy University (874-796), Holy Family University (840-657), and Adelphi University (870-806), but fell to Dominican University (869-908), ending with a 4-1 record.
During the five-game total pinfall Baker rounds, they triumphed over Kutztown University (902-861) and Caldwell University (876-868) but were defeated by Mercyhurst University (831-936) and Wilmington University (926-947). The weekend concluded with a bracket match against Alvernia University, where the Golden Falcons won 4-2, averaging 179.8 across the six games (209-136, 181-194, 162-193, 165-152, 183-158, 179-160).
The Golden Falcons get a weekend off but are back on the road to compete at the first regular-season CACC event in Rockaway, New Jersey on November 9th and November 10th.
