Men’s Soccer defeats Jefferson 6-1 on Senior Day

Rutherford, NJ - It was a successful Senior Day for the Felician University Men's Soccer team as they defeated Jefferson by a score of 6-1. With the win, the Golden Falcons improved to 11-3-2 on the season, picking up their sixth conference victory in the process. Here's a breakdown of how the game played out.

First Half- Felician put together a dominant first half, scoring four goals through the opening 45 minutes. Hugo Rodriguez scored the first two goals for the Golden Falcons to give them the 2-0 lead through 20 minutes of game action. Jefferson would respond in the 36th minute, but Felician wasn't done, scoring two more goals before the half ended. Shuntaro Morimoto found the back of the net at the 40-minute mark while Justin Cedeno added a goal of his own three minutes later. While Jefferson had a few opportunities offensively, the Golden Falcons defense stood up to the challenge.

Second Half- Holding a 4-1 lead, Felician still had some more goals in store during the second half of play. Lorenzo Ferrari, who assisted both of Rodriguez's first-half goals, scored a goal of his own in the 50th minute while Massimo Girardi, who assisted on Ferrari's goal, followed the trend by scoring one of his own. Felician went on to win by a score of 6-1, putting together a dominant effort as the end of the regular season draws near.

Golden Falcons Player Of The Game - The Golden Falcons Player Of The Game goes to Justin Cedeno, he recorded his first collegiate goal in the victory.

The Golden Falcons return to action on October 30 as they travel to Shepherdstown, West Virginia to take on Shepherd University in a 1PM clash.
