Rutherford, NJ – The Felician University Women's Bowling team defended its title at the annual CSU Lady Eagles Invitational, once again coming in first place among the competitive 16-team field.
Felician went into Sunday's best of 7 Baker matches, as the No. 3 overall seed. The Golden Falcons defeated No. 2-seed Kutztown and No. 4-seeded Delaware State to secure the tournament victory, finishing the weekend with a stellar 8-1 record.
Individually,
Mackenzie Keane was named the MVP of the tournament. Over five traditional games, Keane didn't bowl a single game under the 200 mark, finishing with a total of 1,112 pins (222.40) to lead the field. Her tournament average was six pins higher than the second-place finisher in the event.
Ashley Ferrara (11
th) and Sam Slocum (22
nd) placed within the top 25 while
Vivian Luna cracked the top 30 with her 28
th place finish.
The Felician University Women's Bowling team continues to roll, improving to 29-10 for the season. They will once again be in action this weekend, competing in their final event of the 2024 calendar year at the Garden State Classic in Howell, New Jersey.
