Liliana Zaku-Ramos makes Felician Women’s Wrestling history at the Millersville Women’s Collegiate Open

Zaku-Ramos became the first tournament champion in Felician University Women’s Wrestling history.

Rutherford, NJ – In a season that will be full of "firsts," the Felician University Women's Wrestling team witnessed a special one this weekend at the Millersville Women's Collegiate Open.

Liliana Zaku-Ramos became the first tournament champion in Felician University Women's Wrestling history, dominating the 124-pound division.The freshman from Sandyston, New Jersey, did not allow a single point over her three matches, defeating the No. 1 seed in the bracket in the finals.

While Zaku-Ramos led the way, her Golden Falcon teammates followed. Overall, five of the six Felician wrestlers who competed placed in their respective weight classes:

3rd place, Theresa Zeppetelli. 110lbs
4th place, Crisia Bonilla. 131lbs
4th place, Ziyona Jackson. 207lbs
6th place, Karley Perrini. 117lbs

The Felician University Women's Wrestling team will be back on the mat this Wednesday as they travel to Allentown, Pennsylvania for a tri-match against Alvernia University and the host Cedar Crest College.
