Felician Women’s Bowling competes in the 2024 Garden State Classic

Rutherford, NJ – The Felician University Women's Bowling team competed in the 2024 Garden State Classic this weekend. Among a very competitive field of teams, the Golden Falcons finished 13th overall among 20 participants.

As a team, the Golden Falcons finished the weekend with a 7-6 head-to-head record, averaging 182.9 pins per game. During Sunday's Championship Bracket, Felician started by defeating Wilmington University 4-1 before suffering a loss to Fairleigh Dickinson University in a highly competitive match that went down to a decisive Game 7. The Golden Falcons bounced back following the loss, once again defeating CACC foe Wilmington for a second time, this one in six games as part of the position round.

The reigning CACC Bowler of the Week, Mackenzie Keane, put together another strong individual performance this weekend. The junior secured a top 20 finish, placing 16th overall among 137 participants. She recorded four 200+ games, finishing the weekend with a 205.20 average.

After facing a jam-packed schedule of tournaments and events since October 12, the Felician University Women's Bowling team has officially closed out the 2024 calendar year. The Golden Falcons will be back on the lanes starting on January 17 with the Northeast Classic in New Castle, Delaware.
