RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Felician men's basketball hosted Bloomfield College in JJJ Gymnasium Tuesday evening in the event of looking to secure the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference regular season series sweep.
The score sat tied at 35 after the first half action, but the Bears shifted all momentum into their favor to take the 69-79 victory and split the series with the Golden Falcons.
Here's What Happened:
- Throughout the contest, there was a total of 20 lead changes and eight ties; majority of the changes happened within the first half, however, Felician could not post a lead that was larger than two - both were recorded from Tavain Pullock (Paterson, N.J.) threes.
- With Felician down six, 29-23, at the six-and-a half minute mark in the first, Jhnonny Tovar (Caracas, Venezuela) posted three consecutive buckets for the tie at 29. And as the pattern of the contest thus far goes, Bloomfield regained their lead and extended it back up to five, 35-30, and Felician dwindled it back down to 35 to enter the half.
- After intermission, Felician featured two three-point leads by Jabri Fitzpatrick (North Brunswick, N.J.) but once again the score continued to bobble back-and-forth between teams, until Bloomfield snagged the final change, 57-58, to run away with the 69-79 victory.
