SPARKILL, N.Y. - Felician men's lacrosse (3-3) hit the road to Sparkill, N.Y. to play St. Thomas Aquinas College Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference match up.Â

In a nail biter of an event, the Golden Falcons dropped in the final moments of the afternoon when the host caged consecutive goals in a minute span as Felician dropped 7-8.
Here's What Happened:
- In under a minute of regulation, the Spartans found the back of the net for the swift 1-0 lead and ultimately extended their advantage 3-0.Â
- Ethan Todner (Plainfield, I.L.) netted the green-and-gold's first goal of the afternoon to put the squad on the board in a battle back with the host, Spartans. To close out the first quarter, the hosts added one more to their advantage for the 1-4 lead.Â
- The second and third quarter for the Golden Falcons were crucial to keeping themselves within arms read of the win. Liam Dunn (Murfreesboro, T.N.) and Jayden Rios (Stony Point, N.Y.) posted the two goals in the second to enter intermission trailing by two, 3-5, and a three goal third quarter is where the squad equalized.Â
- Finn Crocker (South Hamilton, M.A.) ignited the dominating third quarter with a goal just a little under the 12th minute mark, 4-5, however, the Spartans continued to edge the Golden Falcons and caged another goal soon after, 4-6.Â
- Todner scored once more for his final point, 5-6, while Joe Bouab (Ronkonkoma, M.A.) recording the tying goal for his first collegiate career goal, 6-6. By the fourth and in just under one minute, the Spartans added their consecutive goals for the 6-8 lead. Crocker would score once more for the Golden Falcons final gal of the day to drop, 7-8.Â
Box Score Insights:
- Todner and Crocker caged two goals apiece while Dunn, Rios and Bouab had one. Jabes Escalante (Chelsea, M.A.) had two assists on the day while Crocker had one as he led the team with three points.
- Rios had 10 ground balls and went 8-19 in face offs.Â
- Nick Grebe (Farmingville, N.Y.) saved 12 shots.Â
- The Golden Falcons defense forced 20 Spartan turnovers.Â
